After work on Friday, I packed up and headed to my hometown to celebrate Thanksgiving Weekend with family and friends.
Saturday morning was for drinking coffee, eating Mom's coffee cake and doing laundry. I love doing laundry at my Mom's.....don't only is it free but it also smells like my childhood.
My Mom is on the hunt for a new pair of glasses so we went to a few different shops in town to see if she could find the right ones.....unfortunately she's still on looking.
We stopped for lunch at Joe Beeverz. They are known for different types of poutine. I had the Buffalo Chicken Poutine - it was alright but WAY too big!
After filling up on poutine, I became the proud new owner of this 2005 Honda Civic. I have been without a car for about 4 years now but enjoy the freedom a car provides.
Saturday night was filled with lots of love and laughter. My Mom, my BFF and her Mom went out for supper to the new "hot spot" in town. The food and drink was good but the company was the best!
Sunday was Thanksgiving supper with the family. There was hours of preparation and my Mom's house smelled divine.
Turkey, ham, veggies and pumpkin pie were consumed is ridiculous amounts. After everyone had eaten their fill, we quickly cleaned up and did the dishes - the Blue Jays were playing!
We moved the celebration to my step-sister's house so that we could hot tub and watch the game. Unfortunately, the winds were strong and made it way too cold to sit outside. #bluejayswin
After a lazy morning, I packed up my fresh laundry and headed home.
I stopped and picked up some groceries on the way home so I wouldn't have to go back out.
I filmed a couple of videos for my YouTube channel (check it out), unpacked and got organized for the week.
Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
